ABOUT

Streets Away Travel started in October 2015 when two 20-somethings ditched the Australian rat race to travel and experience the world.
We watched young people around us settling into mortgages and committing themselves to pets by age 25 and we just weren't ready to do the same.
Travel did not happen overnight, we planned for our adventure three years in advance. We applied for working visas in Canada to supplement our travel with some work and set ourselves a budget.
In two years we worked in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, bought and renovated a caravan that we lived in for four months around Canada and the United States, cruised to Spain, road tripped France and stayed with friends in Scotland, Switzerland and Germany.
We loved Spain so much we returned in 2017 to au pair and teach English to children which was one of the most rewarding experience of all our travels. We lived with two Spanish family and became a part of their daily household lives.
After that time, we flew down to Morocco and spent some time between Fez and Chefchaouen, visited friends in Switzerland and Germany and had a brief stopover in Iceland before returning to Canada.
We spent time in Mexico City taking Spanish lessons and then continued to travel through Mexico and Cuba with a spontaneous cruise to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
Lastly we ticked the final bucket list item off. Working at a North American summer camp with children for the summer season July-August 2017.
